Aniimo is out today โ and it costs exactly nothing. Pawprint Studio's open-world creature collector launched Sep 16 on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC as a fully free-to-play title, with mobile arriving Sep 23.
๐ Free Today, Seriously
The base game is free. There are optional pre-order packs โ an Advanced Edition at $9.99 and a Collector's Edition at $19.99 โ but those are cosmetics and a battle pass, not the game. In a September stacked with Marvel's Wolverine and Fire Emblem: Fortune's Weave, free is a weapon.
๐ What You're Actually Getting
More than 200 creatures at launch across the continent of Idyll, with different forms depending on weather and biome. Capture, battle, and evolve โ the familiar loop โ plus the Twining mechanic, which lets you merge with your Aniimo to fly, burrow, sprint, and solve puzzles in creature form.
๐ฅ The Snubbz Take
Every few years someone announces a "Pokรฉmon killer" and misses. Aniimo isn't trying to kill anything โ it's just free, pretty, and here right now. That's how you win September.
