Boosie Badazz is back in the feds' crosshairs — and this time they're trying to take back the freedom a judge handed him in January.
According to court filings reported by WAFB/Gray TV, federal probation supervisors in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of California filed a petition on June 24 asking a judge to revoke Boosie's supervised release and impose 17 months behind bars.
Back in January 2026, U.S. District Judge Cathy Ann Bencivengo gave Boosie (born Torrence Hatch, 43) a major break in his federal gun case — stemming from a 2023 San Diego traffic stop where officers found firearms in his vehicle. After Boosie pleaded guilty in August 2025 to being a felon in possession of a firearm, prosecutors wanted 24 months in prison and probation officials recommended 46 months. The judge instead sentenced him to time served, three years of supervised release, a $50,000 fine, and 300 hours of community service.
Now probation says he blew it. The alleged violations: headlining at Houston's Dome Nightclub without court approval — a required condition of his supervised release; traveling to Texas without permission from his probation officer; a positive marijuana test from back in January; and a new criminal charge — aggravated assault for allegedly hitting a security guard over the head with a broken glass hookah base at the club on May 24, 2026. The guard needed eight staples; a second guard witnessed it. Boosie left before police arrived. He later secured an $85,000 bond, with the Texas case set for trial in September 2026.
Boosie isn't taking the accusations quietly. Per hiphophotness.com, he's pushing back publicly — saying his travel to Houston was approved all along and his drug tests have been clean, and fighting the claim that he violated his supervision terms.
SNUBBZ TAKE: The judge gave him a second chance in January when she could've easily given him two years. Now the feds want 17 months of it back.
