G Herbo Says He's Done With Rap After 15 Years: "Full of Weirdos and Snitches"
The Chicago drill star told IG Live he's walking away from rap to focus on his family, floating acting and a podcast next — but hedged it himself: "maybe I'll retire and come back like Mike."

G Herbo is talking retirement — and the timeline doesn't know whether to believe him.
On a September 30 Instagram Live, the Chicago rapper announced he's done with rap after roughly 15 years in the game, saying the industry is "full of weirdos and snitches" and that he doesn't want to be a part of it anymore. Clips of the moment spread quickly, with The Shade Room and AllHipHop among the outlets picking it up.
Herb didn't leave the stage angry, though. He spent a big chunk of the Live thanking the people who got him there: "I love everybody that's been a part of this journey to help me become the artist," he said. "I took it to heights that I couldn't imagine. Without God, none of this would have been possible."
The deeper reason, he said, is family. With kids to raise and a wife at home, the lifestyle math has changed — and he floated acting or a podcast as what might come next.
Then came the hedge that keeps everyone guessing: "maybe I'll retire and come back like Mike."
Fans are split right down the middle. Half read it as a genuine goodbye from a father choosing peace. The other half say they've seen this movie before — retirement announcements that turn into album rollouts.
Herb's own words leave the door open. He never said "forever" — he said he's done right now. Whether that's a chapter closing or a rollout beginning, only time will tell.
