💪 What a Two Years It's Been
Jessie J has lived about ten lifetimes in the last two years. The British songstress raised a toddler, went through a breakup, relocated from the U.S. back to the U.K. — and was diagnosed with breast cancer in June 2025 while promoting her album Don't Tease Me With A Good Time. She underwent surgery that same month, and this past May she shared the news every fan was praying for: she was cancer-free, one year after her diagnosis.
🧠 Tapping Out to Tune In
Now, the 38-year-old is doing something radical in 2026: nothing, online at least. Taking to Instagram on September 7, Jessie announced she's stepping away from social media "for a while" — calling it a "digital cleanse" to give her "mind, body and heart a well needed hug." After what she described as a "wild" two years that were "magical, successful, life changing and extremely busy," she admitted the toll was real: "The past 2 years has taken a toll on parts of me that I haven't had time to give space and grace to. Now's the time. Work has slowed down. So healing speeds up please."
🌿 Healing Out Loud
What makes Jessie's journey so powerful is how openly she's shared it. She's spoken about turning pain into art and purpose, telling Women's Health that she believes she's gone through everything "to help people, even if it's just to write songs about it." She also revealed that fans constantly tell her a friend checked her breasts after seeing her talk about her own diagnosis. That's impact you can't measure in streams.
🎶 We'll Be Right Here
Take all the time you need, Jessie. The timeline will survive without you — and it'll be right here, louder than ever, when you're ready to come back. Sometimes the bravest thing an artist can do is choose herself. Healing looks good on you.
