Quavo and Offset are back on a record together.

Following the MTV Video Music Awards on September 27, the two former Migos members reunited in Los Angeles at Quavo's listening party for his upcoming album QRÖMELIFE, where they previewed their new collaboration, "Away." Footage from the night shows both men all smiles, standing — and dancing — side by side as the track played for the crowd.

"Away" marks the pair's first new collaboration in roughly five years, following the final releases from the Culture III era in 2021 (with a one-off appearance on Ye's Donda 2 cut "We Did It" in 2022). The track is set to appear on QRÖMELIFE, which drops October 2 via Quality Control and Motown, executive produced by Pharrell Williams. The stacked tracklist also features Future ("BA"), T.I. ("Backwards"), Pharrell, Tyler, The Creator and A$AP Rocky ("Baby Breath"), Lil Baby ("Ball My Love"), Yung Miami ("HAOYU DEWDAT"), and Justin Timberlake ("House Music").

The reunion carries real emotional weight. Quavo told Complex that losing Takeoff — his nephew and Migos brother, fatally shot in Houston in November 2022 — is what healed the years-long rift between him and Offset: "It threw out all the things that I was upset about."

And the reunion may not stop at one song. Earlier this month, Quavo told V-103's DJ Greg Street that a full Migos comeback is planned — including a tour and a final group album featuring posthumous vocals from Takeoff: "We coming back. We're going to do it one more time. For the people. Long live the Rocket. Oh, there's more. We going to tour. We going to do it right." The Migos Instagram account was also reactivated in May after two years dormant, with its first post a carousel of Quavo and Offset reuniting in the studio.

The story broke via TMZ on September 28, with XXL, Billboard, and Complex following. Snubbz will keep watching — and if "Away" sounds like the old magic, the culture wins.
